If you look at my professional profile, you’d probably consider me an Event Manager: I started out in catering and the management of sporting events and later as a graduate and professional I moved into the field of electoral events management, administrative support, and the organisation of conferences and seminars (UN, ISHR, IBJ, etc.).
When I moved to Switzerland after 5 years in the developing world, I noticed that I could use my experience in event management and my knowledge of French to organise networking events & workshops for the English-speaking community. Networking events to bring individuals and families together so as to share information and create support networks. Workshops to provide parents with targeted information about various themes related to living and parenting in Western Switzerland.
Consequently, since arriving in Switzerland I have organised professional events (2008 training seminar for ISHR, 2009 participation of IBJ at the World Economic Forum) and have participated in or organised various networking events & workshops for parents, expatriates, and perinatal professionals. Events include:
- Trade Fairs (Expat-Expo & Leman Expat Fair)
- Coffee Mornings, Family Playgroups and Picnics
- Ladies Nights Out & Date Nights
- Breastfeeding Support Groups & workshops for trainee perinatal support professionals
I have also volunteer as much as I can for local sporting events (Triathlon de Nyon, Semi-Marathon de la Côte/Romande Energie Run, Triathlon de Genève, Geneva Marathon, etc.).
